LZ Granderson, over at CNN, has this on the Jussie Smollett hoax. Don’t bother to click. Here’s a summary. He hopes it turns out a gay black man really was the victim of a racist, homophobic hate crime because that would be better than Jussie Smollett becoming a poster boy for undermining the narrative that […]

The suspect in the first of two closely timed attacks on Orthodox Jewish boys sure doesn’t look like a skinhead or Klansman, which is why there is not a word about the suspects’ race.

The boy was walking home with his mother around 6 p.m. Sunday near Throop Avenue and Walton Street in Williamsburg.

Magnus Carlsen retained his championship today. CNN reported:

For most of November there was deadlock. Twelve games, 12 draws, a too-close-to-call psychological battle conducted before a devoted global audience locked at 6-6. And so, in a soundproof studio in a grand Victorian building in central London, the world title was decided by a series of quickfire tie-breakers for the first time in the competition’s official 132-year history.

Will wonders never cease on this amazing day? Not only are we looking at Kavanaugh’s approval along with an increase in Trump’s approval numbers, but, the most amazing thing is this this article on CNN by Stephen Collinson titled “Trump’s Winning Streak. The first 2/3 of the piece is devoted to Trump’s accomplishment since becoming president while […]

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America react as Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick fails even to grasp the timeline of events this summer and then radically walks back her allegations that Brett Kavanaugh drugged and raped girls while in high school. They also wince as the National Republican Congressional Committee pulls back major support for four embattled House incumbents. And they roll their eyes as CNN asks Sen. Mazie Hirono if allegations that Kavanaugh threw ice at someone in a car 33 years ago is disqualifying for his bid to be a Supreme Court justice and Hirono gives another ludicrous response.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America react to a new poll showing nearly 60 percent of Americans supporting President Trump’s decision to revoke the security clearance for former CIA Director John Brennan and even more backing the idea for those fired at the FBI. They also unload on CNN after after the cable network used anonymous sources to report that President Trump knew of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians before it happened and claimed Cohen attorney Lanny Davis did not comment for the story. Davis now says he was the anonymous source and got the story wrong, but CNN stands by its story. And they have fun with New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon demanding the room temperature to be 76 degrees for her debate against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who likes the room to be much colder.

Psychiatry and medication can be very beneficial to correcting bizarre and very unstable behavior. Some people, even very prominent celebrities, who otherwise have been often regarded as sane and respectable (for the most part), need professional psychiatric help. Some people should seek that help immediately. More

Were you intending your little “Town Hall” to be more like a lynch mob, a Soviet show trial, or the “two minute hate” from 1984? How many AR-15’s have you sold since February 14? More

David French of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud President Trump for hosting a dignified event on school shootings that included a wide variety of opinions from many anguished families. They also slam CNN for letting it’s town hall on guns turn into an endless onslaught against Marco Rubio, because he will not support an “assault weapons” ban, with one student even telling Rubio he feels like he’s looking at the shooter or down the barrel of an AR-15 when he sees Rubio. And they shake their heads at the news “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek is scheduled to moderate a debate later this year in the Pennsylvania governor’s race.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America have no good martinis to serve on Presidents’ Day. They shake their heads as two survivors from last week’s school shooting label the NRA “child killers” and insist the group be disbanded and blast CNN for the leading questions that led to those statements. They also groan as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell predicts the GOP will lose seats in the House and Senate, which would suggest he expects to be in the minority after an election map that couldn’t be better suited for Republicans. And they slam CNN again for horribly biased questions to Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who is now demanding something be done about guns while scrubbing his website of language describing how he is a champion of the Second Amendment.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are leery in general that any infrastructure bill can avoid becoming a huge waste of money but they are glad to see President Trump asking states to play a major role in funding the plan. They also unload on the mainstream media for writing glowing reviews of Kim Jong-Un’s sister and how she is supposedly executing a diplomatic masterpiece at the Olympics. And they rip the press for falling for the supposedly charming North Korean cheer squad, when they’re really slaves of a regime that will punish them and their families if they make any mistakes. And they roll their eyes at CNN for reporting that Sen. Bob Corker is thinking about reconsidering his retirement, even as Corker’s office says there is nothing to the story.

It’s the apocalypse, so why don’t you put down the funny-sided dice.

Seriously, what in the hell are you all waiting for? I know you’ve had no choice but to hide in far-flung corners of the world: the ice deserts of the north, the remote bayous of the south, the D&D gaming tables in your moms’ basements, but know this: the time for you to organize is right now.

And I quote: “Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn.” — “In his house at R’lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.”

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America enjoy learning that the Democratic National Committee is still mired in chaos and that the liberal establishment and the Bernie Sanders supporters are still feuding more than a year after the 2016 campaign and just months before the midterm elections. They also groan as the threat of a government shutdown looms and some Republicans think they can win the public relations battle, even though the media always pin the blame on Republicans, regardless of the circumstances. And they shred CNN for co-opting the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. to advance progressive environmental policies and for suggesting King was a socialist “before it was cool.”

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America shudder at the attempted terrorist attack in New York City but are glad this particular ISIS sympathizer only injured himself. They also slam CNN for not only failing to verify the information from its sources in its supposed Wikileaks bombshell but for failing to be the first to correct its mistakes and then saying its reporters did everything right. And they roll their eyes as leftists get bent out of shape because U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley wished CNN’s Jake Tapper, who is Jewish, a Merry Christmas.
