President Trump is fighting back against charges he used his office to solicit foreign interference in the 2020 presidential election. A whistleblower revealed Trump had asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into a corruption case involving former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. As a result, Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Speaker, gave her blessing to the impeachment inquiry into the president. My guest is Tom Rogan, he’s a commentary writer for the Washington Examiner and host of the political talk show, The McLaughlin Group. On today’s show, we’re going to parse through the whistleblower complaint, discuss the Biden corruption case, and look at the likelihood that Trump will be impeached.

It seems to me that the one thing that most people who don’t understand about this is that coincidentally the rules for Whistleblower requirements changed just days before this was submitted. Instead of having to have direct or first-hand knowledge of the issue, it is OK that people can report things they heard over the water cooler or in the cafeteria then the veracity of the process is greatly compromised. I find it fascinating that your guest shows very little curiosity on this issue and dodges away from it after going into detail how important Whistleblower activity and protections are immediately.

Also, I am a little stunned at the complete naivete of your guest regarding how well informed Joe Biden was of his son’s business dealings. To honestly believe that Joe Biden doesn’t know EXACTLY what is son is doing and with whom, mean’s you have decided to ignore that he has been an inside Washington politico for 40 years. You CANNOT be serious in your assessment that Hunter Biden is just a babe in the woods wandering about gathering candy from strangers based on his name. That is simply comical and cannot be a serious belief.

Rogan believes Trump is guilty, even though he admits there is no real evidence. But then, on what basis does he believe Trump is guilty? Intuition? Clairvoyance?

Conversely, the Bidens get the benefit of the doubt from Rogan, in every case. All these silly foreign businessman lavish them with money, even though they never ever ever get anything in return?!

Rogan: “President Trump won’t actually get impeached, because the votes aren’t there in the Senate.”

    Now, that is really embarrassing.

Just like Bill Clinton or Andrew Johnson, if the President does “actually get impeached”, it will be by the House alone. The Senate will then hold a trial and then vote whether or not to remove the President from office.

In effect, the House is the grand jury that brings charges, and the Senate is the trial jury that decides the verdict.

    The entire podcast.

I’m pretty sure Rogan got everything wrong.

    Will there be a retraction?

    I’m not holding my breath.
